We have a team of kick-axe coaches ready to help you hit the target. Don’t worry we’ll be gentle with you, at least the first time anyway.
You’re dedicated axe throwing coach will teach you all you need to know about the skill of axe throwing before you start the double elimination tournament with the group with the winner announced at the end!
We will supply the fun, tunes and vibes; you just bring yourselves!
A Premium lane is your own private lane with 2 targets. A Standard lane is the same 2 target lane but may be shared with another group if we are busy. You may be throwing axes against people you don’t know. Thats half the fun sometimes.
A Large Group session runs for 2-hours and costs $60 per person
A Small Group session runs for 1 hour and costs $50 per person. We call this the taster session!

A Large Group session requires a minimum of 8 people in Alexandria or 6 people in Brookvale.
A Small Group session requires a minimum of 2 people (except Saturdays which is a minimum of 4)
The more people, the more axe-citement!
If the size of your group changes, please give us as much notice as possible to ensure we have adequate staffing arranged for your group.
Large Group sessions require a minimum of 8 throwers. If your numbers drop below this, please be aware that the minimum charge of 8 people will still be applied to your booking.
Please be aware there is a maximum of 15 people per lane so please let us know in advance if you need to add extra participants to ensure your whole party can take part in the event.
All sessions are required to be pre-booked. If on the off chance that you do walk in and a lane is free, you are welcome to throw.
Absolutely anybody is allowed to throw an axe so long as:
You are not intoxicated by alcohol or drugs.
Imagine darts on a much bigger scale. You only have one thrower at a time and in one direction so there is little that could go wrong.
We have implemented a number of safety measures and protocols to prevent any unforeseen injuries from occurring. This includes self-contained axe throwing lanes and a zero-alcohol policy. Plenty of time for drinks afterwards at the brewery next door.
Your safety is our top priority. Our expert coaches are trained to make you feel comfortable every step of the way.
You will be required to undertake our safety induction and training before beginning any throwing and then will have 1-on-2 coaching for the entire session to help make you feel more comfortable.
Yes, the minimum age to axe throw is 13 and all minors must be accompanied by an adult (18+)
Believe it or not, the axes are a lot lighter than you think – the lightest (and smallest) weighs in at just under 300g and our largest axes weighs up to 1kg.
Our professionally trained instructors will help you select the most suitable axe for the technique required.
We’ve searched far and wide to bring you the finest selections of axes for throwing so no need to bring your own.

Private events
If you’d like to bring spectators to a private event, please get in contact with us beforehand. We have limits on numbers and need to make sure we adhere to them particularly during COVID. Spectating is free of charge and you could even view from our upstairs function room (booking required)
League nights
On league nights, spectators are encouraged to come along and cheer on family and friends (free of charge) so long as they are over 18 years of age.
Numbers are limited, particularly during COVID. Please contact us ahead of time to ensure we can secure you a place.
If time permits, spectators are welcome to give axe throwing a go once the league night is complete for the evening.
Alexandria
Kiss My Axe is a 10-minute walk from Green Square Train Station (900m).
Alternatively, you can take Bus 370 which will drop you 2-minutes away from our venue.
Redfern Train Station is a 14-minute (1.2km) walk away. Bus 355 from the station or Bus 309 from Regent Street will drop you a few minutes away otherwise.
Brookvale
15 minute walk from Warringah Mall. Bus route 177, 177X and 176X stops opposite our venue, On street parking available.
We encourage all axe throwers and spectators to take public transport from either Green Square or Redfern Train Station to make your journey as simple as possible

Each session is jam packed with axe-tion, fun and games.
On arrival you’ll meet your coach who’ll give you a tour of our venue and take you through our safety induction.
Your private training session will then begin. Your coach will teach you how to be an axe-pert thrower starting with the fundamentals of the sport and give you some target practice.
Once you’re feeling confident, the games will begin in a round robin competition. May the best lumberjack or lumberjill win!
All you need to bring is yourself and a pair of enclosed shoes, we supply the rest.

Yes, bathrooms and axe lanes are wheelchair accessible.
Unfortunately, we cannot extend booking times given they’re in 2-hour blocks.
If you’re running late, please call ahead and give us as much notice as possible, that way we can ensure the time you have remaining is as axe-tion packed as possible.
Yes, bookings are essential to secure your lane.
Cash and all major credit cards including Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
Simply head to the session on our site you’d like to book and share the email invite with all your family and friends.
Once booked, all you need to remember is to arrive 15 minutes prior to your session time. That way we can get started and maximise your axe throwing time.

Alexandria
We are licensed to sell alcohol to customers once they have finished axe throwing. You can pre purchase a bar package at time of booking or pay at the bar. We are also the only venue to have a private function room available for hire.
Brookvale
We are not currently licensed to sell alcohol in our Brookvale venue but are surrounded by heaps of pubs and breweries.
Of course! Our pizza package is the most popular simply add it when confirming your booking.

My fiancée and I went to Kiss My Axe on 31/10, and we were looked after by the amazing Stacey 💅🏼, Stewart and Kate. It was incredibly fun and very well organised, we were looked after and made sure we felt comfortable for the activity. The humour was exceptional. Big shout out to Kate, who became our mentor and taught us how to throw which landed us in first place for the team competition. Such a fun and enjoyable experience, can't wait to come back again!
JessMy fiancée and I went to Kiss My Axe on 31/10, and we were attended to by the amazing Stacey, Stuart and Kate. (Apologies if I wrote one of the names wrong!) The experience was an absolute 5/5 experience and more. Stacey (sometimes went by Jake) Stuart and Kate ensured that we were all attended to and tought with care, with no rushing. We actually landed up coming first for our competition, and every single one of the members there would cheer us on per round, with no judgement for brand new axe throwers! I would recommend this venue for anything to do with a group of people, bucks, team outings, nothing stops this amazing experience! Despite having zero experience, we felt pretty confident after their introduction and our instructors was checking in us, giving tips on throwing and form throughout the session.
