We have implemented a number of safety measures and protocols to prevent any unforeseen injuries from occurring. This includes self-contained axe throwing lanes and a zero-alcohol policy. Plenty of time for drinks afterwards at the brewery next door.

You will be required to undertake our safety induction and training before beginning any throwing and then will have 1-on-2 coaching for the entire session to help make you feel more comfortable.

Yes, the minimum age to axe throw is 16 and all minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Believe it or not, the axes are a lot lighter than you think – the lightest (and smallest) weighs in at just under 300g and our largest axes weighs up to 1kg.

A legal guardian is considered as any person that has been appointed to care for another person by court and make decisions on their behalf. This does not include family members or close friends unless they have legally been granted responsibility over this person.

If you’d like to bring spectators to a private event, please get in contact with us beforehand. We have limits on numbers and need to make sure we adhere to them particularly during COVID. Spectating is free of charge and you could even view from our upstairs function room (booking required)
On league nights, spectators are encouraged to come along and cheer on family and friends (free of charge) so long as they are over 18 years of age.

If time permits, spectators are welcome to give axe throwing a go once the league night is complete for the evening.
Yes – Kiss My Axe is a 10-minute walk from Green Square Train Station (900m).
Alternatively, you can take Bus 370 which will drop you 2-minutes away from our venue.
Redfern Train Station is a 14-minute (1.2km) walk away. Bus 355 from the station or Bus 309 from Regent Street will drop you a few minutes away otherwise.
We encourage all axe throwers and spectators to take public transport from either Green Square or Redfern Train Station to make your journey as simple as possible

A 2-hour session costs $60 per person
All axe throwing sessions will need to booked ahead of time to secure your lane. A minimum of 8 throwers is required. This cost includes a private coach that will teach you how to axe throw along with running some fun games.

Each session is jam packed with axe-tion, fun and games.
On arrival you’ll meet your coach who’ll give you a tour of our venue and take you through our safety induction.
Your private training session will then begin. Your coach will teach you how to be an axe-pert thrower starting with the fundamentals of the sport and give you some target practice.
Once you’re feeling confident, the games will begin in a round robin competition. May the best lumberjack or lumberjill win!
All you need to bring is yourself and a pair of enclosed shoes, we supply the rest.

Yes, bathrooms and axe lanes are wheelchair accessible.
Unfortunately, we cannot extend booking times given they’re in 2-hour blocks.
If you’re running late, please call ahead and give us as much notice as possible, that way we can ensure the time you have remaining is as axe-tion packed as possible.
If the size of your group changes, please give us as much notice as possible to ensure we have adequate staffing arranged for your group.
Lanes require a minimum of 8 throwers. If your numbers drop below this, please be aware that the minimum charge of 8 people will still be applied to your booking.
Please be aware there is a maximum of 15 people per lane so please let us know in advance if you need to add extra participants to ensure your whole party can take part in the event.
Yes, bookings are essential to secure your lane.
All sessions are required to be pre-booked. If on the off chance that you do walk in and a lane is free, you are welcome to throw.
Please note that a minimum group charge of 8 will still apply.

Of course there is! Ice cold beer is served right next door at the Brewery. Bar & Restaurant No.5 is just a few doors away as are a number of other popular bars and eateries like the infamous Grounds of Alexandria

Simply head to the session on our site you’d like to book and share the email invite with all your family and friends.
Once booked, all you need to remember is to arrive 15 minutes prior to your session time. That way we can get started and maximise your axe throwing time.
We know unforeseen circumstances can arise and that’s why we’d like to offer you a full refund if you cancel 14 days or more before your booked session.
Anything less than 48 hours we’ll be happy to move the entire booking to another date. A $50 re book fee will apply.

Under NSW legislation, No Axe throwing venue is permitted to serve alcohol to people whilst they are axe throwing. Second to that, people intoxicated by alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to throw.
Afterwards however feel free to hit up the Brewery next door for a tap beer or Bar No.5 a few doors down once all your fun is complete.
